Thanksgiving is a holiday full of family time, enjoying each other's company, and delicious food! And once the guests leave, we have the leftovers. And they are good for the first day, maybe the second day…but by the third day you’ll probably need some new ways to change up what is on your plate.
That’s where these warm, yummy sliders with cranberry aioli come into play!
We ate these so quickly last year that we didn’t have any leftovers for the next day.
Ingredients: Slider Buns, like Hawaiian King Rolls Mayo Butter Garlic Salt (or another seasoning) | Leftover Ingredients: Turkey Stuffing Cranberry Sauce Gravy |
This recipe is extremely easy to put together. It’s a measure with your heart kind of recipe. Use how much you want, how little, different ingredients, etc.
If you try another combination, let us know how you made it and if it was a success.
Step one: Preheat the oven to 350°F
Step two: Slice your buns if they aren’t already cut. You can usually take a bread knife and slice right down the entire sheet of buns. Then place the bottoms into a casserole dish.
Step three: Make the cranberry aioli. I used about a cup of Duke’s Mayonnaise and mixed with cranberry sauce to my liking. Start with a few tablespoons and add more until you get the combination you like.
Step four: Spoon a small amount of cranberry aioli onto each bun and spread it to cover the bottom buns.
Step five: Layer your leftovers. I did turkey, stuffing, and then topped it with gravy.
Step six: Cover the leftovers with the tops of the sliders.
Step seven: Melt butter and mix with a seasoning of your choice. I used garlic salt.
Step eight: Cover the top of the buns with the butter mixture and then place into the oven.
Step nine: Set timer for about 20 to 25 minutes. You’ll want the tops of your buns nice and golden brown.
Serve and enjoy!
Pair it with leftover vegetables or a nice salad.
I hope you enjoyed this take on a way to serve up those leftovers lingering in the fridge.
