RPZ Spring Tot Classes Are Open For Registration

By Jess Vasas, Macaroni Kid Minot Publisher January 5, 2021

The Spring Zoo Tot Classes are back at the Roosevelt Park Zoo. The classes are open for registration and are filling up quickly! The classes are held on Thursdays and Fridays from January to April. The classes cost $9 for a non-cooking class and $11 for a cooking creation class. The classes are limited to 12 participates, ages 2 – 5. Only one adult per child is permitted due to the structure and size of the class.

Alright! Now that you have class information, you might be wondering – HOW DO I SIGN UP?!

You can sign up on the Minot Park’s website using your registered account, or you can sign up the next time you are at the zoo.

Macaroni Kid Minot has added all the classes to our event calendar with the theme for that class. The registration link is listed in the “More Info” toward the bottom of the page.

Here is a video to help you find all the Spring Zoo Tot Classes quickly.

We have already signed up for a few classes, and I can’t wait to check them out with my youngest son.

I asked on a local Facebook Mom’s page to hear about other’s experiences. Everyone had phenomenal reviews about their experience.

Melissa shared with me, “ We went a lot when my kids were three. My daughter Karter was three in 2017 and my twins in 2018. My twins were on the front page of the paper in 2019 for a ladybug “cooking” class. Our favorite classes are the classes where you make a snack with an animal or bug theme. The education instructors are amazing and personable, the classes are very reasonable, and my kids loved every single class they have gone to. My oldest has gone to the zoo camps for older kids, and the instructor remembers her by name every time we go.” Melissa just added another little bundle of joy to her family and is looking forward to attending in the future when her newest little one is old enough.

Marie shared with me her experience about bringing her daycare kiddos to the classes, “ When I was in the childcare business, I would take my group to the zoo classes. They were always very engaged! I loved the enthusiasm as of class instructor as well as the hands-on learning experiences. It was always a trip we always looked forward to!”

Karin attended with her two-year-old during the Summer 2020 and Fall 2020 classes. She loved the activity stations! The kids were able to choose which station they wanted to be at and for how long. Karin shared with me that the stations are all very different and appeal to a span of toddler abilities and interests.

If you are new to the area or a new mommy in the toddler stage, I’d sign-up before all the spots are filled! I know we are looking forward to our classes!

If we happen to attend the same classes, please say hi! I am looking forward to meeting the “Macaroni” parents in our area.

Thank you, Roosevelt Park Zoo, for hosting these classes! We appreciate all the hard work and dedication you have for making such wonderful events and providing another way to make memories with our kids.

Peace, Love, & Macaroni,
